Newquay Travel Guide
The town’s economy is almost entirely tourism dominated, with literally hundreds of hotels and B&B’s, gift shops and take away restaurants eager to cater for the annual army of visitors.
Although the resort caters for a broad range of visitors high summer is predominantly the domain of the under 25’s who make full use of the excellent beaches during the day and over populate the towns many pubs and clubs at night.
A short drive from the town is a world apart, the spectacular cliffs of the North Cornwall coast, small picturesque fishing villages and many remote unspoilt beaches are just minutes away.
Transport links have recently been boosted by Ryanair’s daily flights to the town from London Stanstead taking less than an hour. By train the journey takes 5-8 hours.
