A late-17th-century riad near Bab Berdaine, run by two hosts who map out your whole Meknes visit over mint tea.

Riad Inspira sits at 5 Derb Sloughi near Bab Berdaine, the medina's northern gate, in a house its own site dates to the late 17th century. Hosts Jihane and Hananne are repeatedly named by guests for their welcome and for pointing visitors toward restaurants and sights beyond the usual tourist circuit. Rooms are en suite around a small courtyard, opening onto a rooftop terrace with its own outdoor kitchen for guest use.

Two honest caveats recur in reviews: the final stretch to the riad is a narrow, unsigned medina alley that guests say is genuinely hard to find even with GPS, so allow extra time or message ahead; and WiFi, while free throughout, is inconsistent enough that several guests flagged it as needing improvement. A home-cooked tajine dinner is available for guests who'd rather not navigate back into the medina at night.
