A 4-room stone guesthouse in the quiet village of Tamatert above Imlil, run by hands-on local hosts.

Kasbah Imlil is a small, four-room stone guesthouse in Douar Tamatert, a village up a side valley from Imlil that shares the trekking access but sees far fewer tourists. It's built in local Ourika stone with air conditioning, heating and en-suite bathrooms in each of its four rooms, plus two salons and a large rooftop terrace for sunrise breakfasts over the mountains.

It's a genuinely budget, family-run property rather than a polished lodge, and reviews are honest about that: one guest noted the walk up to the property is uphill over untended terrain, awkward with heavy suitcases, and another mentioned the first-floor toilets could be better maintained. Reviewers who go in expecting exactly that rate the hospitality and food very highly.
