Nkhila Lodge
Five stilted tents built for stargazing, solar-powered and run by the same small operator behind two Marrakech riads.
Nkhila Lodge is a five-tent camp on Agafay's eastern side, run by Moroccan Hideaways, the same small operator behind two Marrakech riads. Its Caïdal and stilted 'stargazing' tents were built with transparent ceilings specifically for watching the sky, and the whole camp runs on solar power rather than a diesel generator.
A dedicated stargazing deck with telescope, a daily desert cooking school, and camel trekking or guided walks fill the days; meals are served on private balconies or under canopy dining tents. There's no pool and likely no air conditioning, in keeping with the off-grid ethos — this is a considered trade for genuine remoteness, not an oversight.
