Dar Jasmine sits on the hillside above Chefchaouen's medina, reached by roughly 150-200 steps from the road (porters/donkeys assist with luggage), repaying the climb with arguably the best static view of the blue city — a wall of white-and-cobalt rooftops running down to the valley floor with the Rif Mountains behind. Its nine rooms mix hand-carved wood and traditional materials with floor-to-ceiling windows and a genuine infinity pool, unusual at this elevation in the medina.

Reviews are close to unanimous on staff, breakfast and bed comfort — most describe pillowtop mattresses closer to a luxury hotel than a Rif guesthouse. A minority do report a firmer mattress in at least some rooms. The bigger honest caveat: the hammam guests rave about is currently delivered on request, not from a permanent facility, and the stairs are a real consideration for anyone with mobility limits.
