Dar D'or Fes is a small, husband-and-wife-run guesthouse of six rooms, decorated with traditional tiles and handcrafted Moroccan details. It sits on a quiet street on the edge of the medina rather than deep inside the souks, which also makes it one of the few Fes riads reachable directly by car or motorcycle. Breakfast — fresh juice, eggs, pastries, tea and coffee — is consistently the most-mentioned highlight, along with a rooftop terrace.

Review coverage is unusually one-sided for a working guesthouse — the honest caveat is less about a specific complaint and more about scale and location.
