Riad Kniza
18th-century riad restored by a renowned antiques dealer — classic Marrakchi craftsmanship and a serious restaurant.
Riad Kniza belongs to the family of one of Marrakech's most renowned antique dealers, and it shows: the 18th-century house has been restored piece by piece with real zellige, carved cedar and objects most hotels could only reproduce. The result feels less like a boutique hotel than a very comfortable private museum.
The kitchen has a reputation of its own — classic Marrakchi dishes done properly — and the Bab Doukkala location puts you at the quieter northwestern edge of the medina, ten minutes' walk from the souks. Service is formal in the warmest sense: this is old-school Moroccan hospitality.
